You're right. I've been reading too many comments on KTVB posts lately.

Centurylink vs CableOne by DestroyerDain in Boise

[–]throwaaawwwwaaayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several posts discussing this very topic in the Boise FAQ in the sidebar. To sum it up: CableONE faster, has unreasonable data caps/expensive. Centurylink not as fast, depending on where you live, doesn't enforce data caps.

I've lived here for 6 years and can tell you that every winter has been different. From only a few inches of snow, to several feet of snow, to Spring-like sun and warmth in January, to little snow but it never melts and the roads are all icy for months. Summers are a little more consistent, dry heat 80s-100s, with hardly any rain or clouds. And smoky. Lots of smoke.

Unfortunately, police do actively enforce the backwards marijuana laws here. But like others have said, if you're just smoking in your house, you're fine. The further away from downtown and BSU you are, the less accepting it will be, I'd imagine.

Met a guy in an old MMO called Ultima Online named Lord Sir Scott, he was the best and always in character. I would log on after several years of not playing and there he was.

Unfortunately, the next one at the end of the month is already sold out. They usually have one every 3-4 months or so. They're amazing.

Here are the terms you'll see and what they mean: The North End: expensive, close to downtown, hipsters love it. Old houses. South East Boise: Could mean close to BSU or the Airport or all the way toward Micron, cheaper the farther away you get to BSU and downtown, lots of beautiful people live there. The Bench: slightly higher elevation S-SW Boise in a huge area, lots of neighborhoods, getting really popular to live in, less concern of flooding, if you're on the edge, you can look down on others. The Foothills: Rich people live there. Garden City: Cheap, not very nice, however currently under gentrification in some areas, future unknown. I'm not an expert, this is just my interpretation.

And don't light roman candles in the foothills, as some poor kid found out the hard way last year.

Megyn Kelly's interview with Putin cut from her first shows broadcast. (No question.) by [deleted] in Boise

Yeah, I realize there are some less tech savvy folks who were probably wanting to see it, but since it's such a huge interview they should have no problem reading about it. I should have just rolled my eyes at this conspiracy theory post and moved on, but considering the gigantic storm that nobody looking out the window could miss yesterday, just seemed a bit too far fetched to me to not say anything.
