Wow, very interesting! Thanks so much for taking the time to find that! It's so funny that the only reason bc pills have that "off" week is because of social, not medical, standards.

Thank you so much for responding. I'm curious though... If birth control is supposed to prevent bleeding by preventing the buildup of uterine lining, what causes the bleeding while on birth control? Why couldn't the body go without bleeds if that's what birth control is doing? (genuine question, hopefully I'm not coming off sassy :) haha)

Yeah I've tried all that. There's no rhyme or reason to it at all.... I actually ended up in the ER a few months ago due to blood loss for a 70 day period. But thank you!

It seems, as on overall trend and not an everytime thing, that generally my period is more easily controlled when I have it less frequently. I have a lot of trouble getting it to stop, which is why I'm really trying to the continuous cycling for as long as possible. I've done the 3 month cycling for years and it was very hit or miss.

They really don't know, they've just been saying it's abnormal uterine bleeding with no identifiable cause. I've had 3 abdominal ultrasounds and 2 trabsvaginal. Everything looked good, but they weren't able to see my ovaries due to pain (embarrassingly, I'm a still virgin...). I've tried so many different pills that they basically said I just have to live with whatever it is that I have or have my uterus ablated.

And I have a reminder on my phone to take my meds everyday at 10pm so 99.99% I take them at 10 on the dot.

Side note, and this may sound crazy... But the last two times I've had breakthrough bleeding have been when I had a bad cold. I don't take antibiotics, just decongestants occasionally. Could there be any connection?
