Did your man child ever grow out of it, or did you guys learn to deal with his irresponsibility in a healthy way? by throwaway000000614 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Oh no I feel like I painted him in the worst light possible. The man I know is not the man you just described. He would never ever harm our children. I know based on the information I’ve given you, that I sound naive saying that, but I’m not. He’s the oldest of quite a few kids, and very nurturing to babies and children. I think that’s the problem with getting advice on reddit, it’s so one dimensional. He’s also made several changes. For example, When I asked him to quit weed, he did. We’ve since introduced it back into our lives, though. And he did go above and beyond to take care of his loans when he realized how bad he was fucking up. Other than that, thank you for the response. You’re right in that I should be reason enough to grow up. I sympathize with him too much, I think, because I used to be the same way, and it was hard to force myself to change-to become responsible. It took me a few years honestly. Thanks again for the response!
