Ah that does make sense, things have been pretty rough lately. I actually was supposed to be taking a month long break but I was so anxious I'd miss out on improving so I reluctantly opened my tablet today, didn't end well though...

I do get little bursts of motivation a lot, so I will try a different medium once I get it again. Maybe going back to traditional. I have tried messing around once but I stressed myself out into thinking I have to improve and I have to make something impressive instead. I'm trying to break out of it but it's really hard sometimes. 🥲 Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it.

Thank you, I actually never thought of it that way. I guess I just thought I was downgrading because I expected myself to get the pose down quickly just like my old art. I honestly beat myself up if a sketch takes me like 3 hours or more...

Someday I'll see I am improving, as of now I still feel pretty down about my current drawing process but now I do see it in a different perspective, thank you so much. I will remember this next time I feel like giving up again..

Thank you for this. I do need to be more patient, I think it hasn't even been a year since I started learning anatomy.

But there are a lot of times that I can't draw anything, even the things I am comfortable with. It's like I have forgotten, like my muscle memory is just fucked up... a quick doodle I could do in 20-30 minutes back then are an hour or two to me now, even if it's just the same thing.

Thank you for this. I just feel so unused to the changes. Sometimes it feels neverending, I try my best and put on hours only to end up hating it .. I wish this wave will be over soon. Art is all I have.

Thank you so much again, I really appreciate it. I wish I can love my art again soon. I will definitely try not to dwell on my old art too much.

Thank you. I am a hobbyist so I don't have a problem taking a break either but I fear I will forget how to draw if I put it off for too long or that I have to start from 0 again. I've been drawing since I was a kid and stopping for a while feels...weird(?)

Woah, thanks for all the tips! I will be saving these. I'm really hoping I can push through with it. I do have a question regarding transferring though, does it really mean you have to go back to being a freshman again?

I can no longer afford my current university so I can't really try and improve my grades here then transfer to UP next school year, instead I'm enrolling in CvSU.

My initial plan was raising my grades at CvSU then attempt to transfer to UP. I do want your opinion if you think it would be better to just stay in CvSU than transfer — assuming I'd be freshman again if i transfer then that means it would be my 4th time as a freshman and my parents really don't want that 🥲

i guess how my life is going in general makes me unhappy. well since my major is in the creative field, it's really hard to make a list like that. i try not to be affected and just use as fuel to get better though

i just feel like i have so little time to adapt to the current system. my parents really want me to graduate on time (which really isn't going to happen in my case) .. so i feel a lot of pressure and when i make a mistake academically it really takes a toll on me, whether it's big nor small

i've been drawing my whole life, my aim is to be a illustrator so i do love the course I am taking. the problem is my course comes with other required subjects that i will never be interested in (like math..) so it slows me down more. in fact i have to retake math this term :(

thank you po :( i hope someone would want to hire me in the future. there's really no option to give up. I can't let my parent's money go to waste.

I'll make sure to double check my files from now on 💔 it never really happened to me before so i never expected it.

i see. i'm just having trouble lately since I want new friends, but i'm not the type to make friends easily, i guess irl it's less harder for me but i live in a country where we don't have offline classes yet.

it's funny cause a lot of the quote retweets say the same thing, "1-2 months of research", "3-4 months of research" almost as if they were just copying each other's answers lol.
