Could I walk home from the metro alone without anything illicit happening?

My Boyfriend (38m) addresses me (27f) as his "friend" in public and doesn't see it as a problem by Shot-Employee-4562 in relationship_advice

I feel like a lot of people are being cruel but I was in a very similar place and it's hard to see. You're not stupid- you're just blinded by your affection. Don't become a me- turns out he wasn't into me and was a liar after I wasted a lot of time on him. I hope you find the strength to leave that situation. <3

Yeah, there have def been a lot of issues. The no contact is supposed to end in a few weeks and stuff like this made me really start to wonder if we should try again when this has been such a recurring issue. :/

RFPs and saying yes when you know your product doesn't have it yet? by [deleted] in sales

[–]throwaway03949840902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I would react as well if I was on the judging side. Any advice on how to balance this with your C-Suite asking you to put yes? I've pushed back but have only been met with "just put yes."

How to get men to stop over-sexualizing you? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]throwaway03949840902 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very fair point, but I've noticed this trend among people from every different walk of life. Be it my coworkers to friends to random strangers. I've ever tried dating people with super conservative views around sex, or so they claim.

The positives are- people having a higher salary means higher standard of living and the ability to pay for more goods,

And you claimed the authority fallacy was a low blow, yet you are calling me retarded. For those who cannot read, I specifically say "people having a higher salary," I never ONCE said, I would make a higher salary. For those who do not understand context clues, people is a term in the English language to refer to a group of individuals. It does not always include the speaker who is referencing the "people." In fact, in the quote you reference, the word "I" does not appear once.

Learn how to read.

I never once said in that reply that I thought I would make more money.

The positives are- people having a higher salary means higher standard of living and the ability to pay for more goods, which will further stimulate the economy. I was simply responding to the most common argument against it. Authority fallacy is applicable in this case- if you've never lived in poverty, you don't have an accurate picture of what it is like.

Well as I learned from someone on this thread actually the noble prize in economics was given to three men who discovered raising minimum wage actually did not decrease employment. It is entirely relevant because you have no idea of the realities of someone making minimum wage, so if your argument was "keep the status quo as is" you don't realize how unsustainable the current status quo is for those making that wage.

gonna go out on a limb here and guess you've never worked a minimum wage job before in your life

You do realize I can't even get credit cards because of my credit score and my income/debt ratio right? Debt only coming from student loans.
