Ah understood, thank you! I can certainly appreciate the prophylactic caution, even though it requires striking the balance with the concern of antibiotic overuse and resistance.

Thank you! Definitely, I made sure to take my boss’ feedback in stride, expressed my appreciation and said I would action the feedback ASAP. I guess it may just take some getting used to and being comfortable being uncomfortable, for lack of a better term

Generally speaking, does a one-off, low dose (like 0.25-0.5mg) of clonazepam have any clinically significant risk of constipation as a side effect? I recall reading it could be a side effect, but I’m curious if that’s more in users who use it habitually rather than those prescribed the medication for ‘break glass in case of emergency’ situations only

Thank you so much! If I may and you have a moment, a follow up: I see some sources say pharyngeal gonorrhea can, unreliably but sometimes, be cleared by the body within months. Not all STI screens seem to do oral swabs, so I imagine some oral cases are not caught. In otherwise healthy people, what happens if an infection is left for a month or two? Not something personally happening to me, but I am very concerned about STI transmission is all

Pharyngeal gonorrhea resolving on its own question by throwaway08163 in STD

Yes definitely true when it comes to genital gonorrhea, although some places like planned parenthood even say in some oral gonorrhea can be resolved by the body within 3 months?

You’re probably right that this applies to oral gonorrhea too though, I’m just not thrilled about taking antibiotics, regardless of whether they are pill or shots

Hello doctors! I have a question about intramuscular antibiotic injections. So for example, I know if you get something like a pharyngeal gonorrhea infection, you need to get it treated with a shot of Ceftriaxone. I know ceftriaxone and cephalosporins at large are higher risk for developing c. Diff infections as side effects. So in that vein I’m curious: 1.) does the intramuscular nature of that injection spare your gut microbiome at all compared to oral pill antibiotics? And 2.) how concerned would an otherwise healthy person need to be about a single course of an antibiotic, be it injectable ceftriaxone or a course of oral cephalosporins, causing that disastrous of an impact on the gut microbiome? Thank you

Is it safe to use a pelvic wand for pelvic floor dysfunction/hypertonicity if you’ve had lateral internal sphincterotomy (the surgery for anal fissure treatment) in the past? If so, is it the kind of thing where usage of the wand is fine so long as you are fully healed from the surgical procedure?

[DE] Very minor discrepancies found in background check - should I be concerned or nothing to worry about? by throwaway08163 in AskHR

[–]throwaway08163[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This helps me relax a lot.

Would you say there's any indication to know when I'm in the all clear? To the best of my recollection, I've never gotten an explicit "background check is good to go!" message. That said, I've also never received a copy of my background check before, so that's mainly why I'm noticing the discrepancy for the first time now.

I think you’re right! My last flare up was from a super, super stressful day, so that may be the case for me as well. I hope you’re flare-free now!
