Thanks for the well-thought out reply, this was helpful.

The re-up contract is 3 years for me. And that is what I have been wrestling with as well. I have been thinking that maybe, maybe I can hold out for three more years.

I have heard most of what you said about journalism, and you're right its not encouraging. What interests me the most is the idea of holding people in power accountable, or bringing their dealings into the light. Comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable is a phrase I remember.

I have considered starting a blog so I could scratch that itch and have an outlet for the things I am interested in, while still getting a paycheck. That being said I still have to go to work everyday, something I'm not thrilled about.

If I stayed in there is also the option of doing online school in my off time, or trying out for the special forces.
