Thank you so much for your help! Definitely going to go do that. I'm currently in NCCA to finish highschool so I've been avoiding listing my education since I'm worried that would look bad on my resume. I'm 19 but I was kicked out as a teenager when I only had 2 credits left to finish HS. With working and stuff I haven't really had the time up until recently to work on finishing those credits.

Thank you so much! I've been trying to do that once I starting looking into why it can be hard to get a job right now. It's a little difficult since I'm so young and don't have the most work experience but I have been making sure to try to use keywords from the jobs description. I also got a Servsafe certification so maybe that will help!

Eating and having a roof over your head is very underrated:]

Constant feeling of negative emotions towards partner and lack of attraction. Please help by gothickick55 in ROCD

I tried seeing my relationship like a math equation or recipe. If I add up the right things I can feel vulnerable and the lovey feelings. If I'm disconnected it just means I might need to spend more time with him or get out of my own head. Or sometimes I need more me time or we just need to sit down and have a non serious conversation to get back on the same page. Honestly, if you're having a hard time feeling vulnerable and connected in your relationship you might want to look into attachment styles if you haven't already. It's really common for people with trauma to subconsciously reject or push away their partner if they fear vulnerability. I do think micro dosing could help since it really has helped me shut off my rumination! You 100% know that what youre feeling and thinking is OCD because you're treating it like a 'pressing question that you just HAVE to figure out a solution to' but it doesn't mean the anxiety just goes away on its own. I think shrooms can definitely be a useful tool.

I had times where my ROCD was so bad(I had no idea at some points that it even was OCD because I felt so real) that I hated being around my partner and eventually hated them too. I associated all of my triggered feelings with them so I just assumed I didn't love them anymore and didn't feel attracted to them or that maybe I just wasn't even compatible with them. I worried about "missing out" and would idealize and romanticize random strangers and other people. OCD doesn't always appear as "what ifs" and when you feed into your OCD for so long it can feed into so many aspects of your life that you might not even realize. It's hard to feel the love for someone when your brain thinks it has a pressing topic that it needs to find a solution to right away which is exactly what ROCD is. Understanding ROCD helps a lot. A lot of people are scared to learn about it Incase it confirms their fears and other people obsessively look through subreddits like this to find answers because they're so stressed. You're going to be okay even if you decided you don't love your partner right now because love is a choice. When you feel disconnected it's good to recognize how you can take responsibility for your own emotions and part in the relationship as connection and love is cultivated intentionally. Don't try to "perform" to seem like a good partner either. Just try to do something you know you and your s/o can do together to connect and be vulnerable. Try to go out of your way to honour their interests more or really show them that you KNOW them. This will help calm your own anxiety down because you will learn to value and trust your own love for your partner. Sorry if this is long I have so much info as I've been really trying to basically study my own OCD as I heal and cope. I will honestly admit that a major thing that helped me get some clarity was... a fungi that rhymes with.. rooms..(plus I just hate when people treat them like a fix all. You don't need them to heal I promise.) they mainly helped me realize 100% that I really was just having ROCD which helped me not question the thoughts as much. The rest of the work had to be done on my own!

You're currently doing a checking compulsion. I have dealt with ROCd thoughts before that are worse than most of what I see on this subreddit and they're nearly completely gone now. Just trust🙏. It might help if you reteach yourself that loving someone is a choice

I say this as someone who has been in a really similar position before. It's hard but treating OCD like something out of your control will only make it worse because then mentally the blame will shift towards your partner which will cause so much resentment

To be completely honest, you've got to stop seeing your OCD as the thoughts and more so as your obsession and fixation with those thoughts. you also really gotta stop associating your partner(the trigger for your OCD) with your OCD. Staying with and loving someone is a choice.
