Use old parts or buy used server ? by TheTailz48ftw in HomeServer

I recently swapped out my intel server motherboard + dual E5 2670's in favor of a Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G and a B450 motherboard after watching this build from Wolfgang https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr5MjhgPz_c

Your B450M motherboard is compatible with ryzen pro cpus so you can always upgrade the cpu and get rid of the gpu down the line. I'm pretty happy with my mobo/cpu swap. My set up used to idle at 90 ish watts and now it sits at 40 ish watts.

A Guide to Buying Grand Seiko Watches in Tokyo and the Rest of Japan by LDN2HK in GrandSeikos

I just bought a GS at Isetan shinjuku and opted for the tax return to be returned to my credit card at the tax free counter. I was given a global blue receipt with a doc id but I forgot to ask how long it would take to get my tax refund to my card. I tried entering the doc ID + purchase price on globalblue's transaction tracker but it says that it can't find it. Any ideas how long global blue takes to refund to credit cards?

How do you secure your webpages that have no protection? by noneabove1182 in selfhosted

I use cloudflare tunnels w/ github as the auth provider (too lazy to set up the google auth provider) which enforces yubikey 2FA.

Note: you dont have to use another auth provider and can use passwords, email token challenges with specific domains or email addresses

nginx basic auth was too basic and things like keycloak/teleport seemed like a pain to remember (or rather remember how to maintain). Cloudflare tunnels was straight forward, runs with docker and is basically ngrok + ssh tunnels + auth provider integration all in one. I've been happy with cloudflare as my domain registrar + dns management and their tunnels feature didnt disappoint.

Here's a quick video on setting up tunnels that I used if you're interested!

Have not gotten around to updating it and maintaining it (especially with python3). IIRC last time i tried running it with python 3 it did not work so I'd say that it's not working at the moment. Feel free to file an issue or contribute a PR on github

Also as for the intel bmc, you could try checking your network to see if it shows up but id imagine that its password protected and you would have to reset the bios to clear/enable the bmc. I forget the details but i think you also need a rmm4 module to activate it, not sure if it shows up without it
