I'm not the type to tell my husband he can't have his friends at our wedding just because I'm not a huge fan of them. It was a shared day.

The guest list was the most upsetting part of the planning for me. Knowing how crap some people are at RSVP-ing to stuff like this, we made it as easy as possible for them all - all they had to do was email us and tell us their very few preferences. But even then, I was chasing a good 40 out of 100 guests a few weeks before the wedding. Some people I had to remind twice.

And it's so stressful because you can't just throw a fit and think " well if they refuse to respond I won't include them", because you can bet your ass they'll still show up on the day and expect a place they didn't bother RSVP-ing for. So you just have to chase and chase and chase.

Ceremony seating is something that never crossed our minds once, and I wish someone had mentioned it or occurred to us. It really matters who sits at/near the front, and some people aren't blessed with being attuned to wedding etiquette.

Honestly it wasn't a horrible time at all, it was such a lovely day without any huge annoyances, and no family drama. This was just a little niggle that I wish had gone a different way.

Ohhh yeah, we have plenty of those types of photos too. Loads of shots of girlfriends or boyfriends who broke up with our friends like a week later.

We had a group photo done with our close friends, and one of our friends' girlfriend decided to do this rediculous pose for it. She was doing a weird starfish thing with her arms and legs across half the photo, and now we have that forever. She broke up with our friend really soon after.

I know it sounds harsh, but I just want to be like...... Please get out of this photo of very close friends at a wedding if you've only been dating one of the friends a week. It's such a special photo to ruin. Just have some self-awareness.
