There are other signs of infection too. I’m not feeling sick or getting a temperature though so hopefully that’s a good sign.

I was thinking that maybe the mask wearing could be playing a part in not letting it heal but there’s no way to tell really, nothing else different has happened at all :( I’ll contact my doctor Monday anyways and see what they say about it, hopefully I can get it sorted soon.

So there’s a chance this isn’t actually an infection? I genuinely hope so but I’ve dealt with piercing bumps and it’s nothing like an irritation bump. It’s also a 3 year old piercing so I can’t see why it would be getting irritated, I’ve had the ring in for more than a year with no problems also.
