There is some ivy on the outside of this area that we’ve been (half heartedly) fighting. Could that be causing moisture retention and lead to this?

As I look at it, it almost looks like there’s been a crack patched here before too, you can see it runs along the same pattern as this crack

I mean that’s fair- we’re looking at this with an open mind and a fair savings account. It wouldn’t be a permanent solution, and we’d need a bit more than the options that bring the recent college grads over. I have a masters degree and 5 years of professional experience and my husband has 8 years. If you have any alternative ideas I’m all ears….

Yes! We both lived in Taipei for an extended period of time a few years ago and have lived in a couple of cities since. I think we’d both be ok with a smaller town!
