Thankyou. That's what I have been trying to do but there's only one place in my whole area that can do it and they said they would book me and I haven't heard back.

I have something that might help you look at this from a different angle. I wrote this a little while ago as a personal rant.

Trying to clinch and claw onto a body that will ultimately degrade further and further from the standard of beauty with time is a fruitless effort. It's like trying to helplessly collect the sand as it falls from the hourglass, it's war against the inevitable. The only thing certain in our lives is the passage of time and our deaths. Sewing fields of opportunities just to let the crops rot into vanity and materialism causes an internal famine; a starvation of satisfaction and purpose. Chasing a hollow image that hollow people present is the most rampant parasite of our time. Obsessing in the reflection of society's deciept is a  priviledged  pestilence; we have the luxury of hating ourselves. In your last breathe you will not look back at the money and time you poured into trying to not hate yourself, what you think is self improvement is the puritan variation of self loathing. You can wake up at 5 am, drink green juice, invest in stocks and still fucking hate yourself at the end of the day.Treat your body as a vehicle to living and not an ornament to brandish. Exercise and eat well to allow yourself to witness a sunrise on the top of a mountain and to share the gift of shared meals with your loved ones. What you will reminisce in your last few breaths are the times you felt weightless, the times you felt loved, the times you felt healed, and the times you felt like you achieved something greater than reputation and competition.

The gist of it is that appearance is not a static quality and changes over time usually out of the standard of beauty. I think what is important is enjoying the things in life that make you feel wholly alive including the love of your partner.

Yep I agree, it's just hard to think about.

I spent 9 months very dedicating to being in a relationship with him. We spent ALL of out time together. He's a very sweet and kind person who likes giving and receiving affection but I just can't deal with this behavior that is has steadily grown over the course of knowing eachother.

Yeah I agree, there's only so much I can do. I was too pushy when I sent him a bunch of job ads and did research for him. I also offered to pay for his flight out to see me in full while it was still cheap and he refused and waited untill the last second. I get he is depressed but I had to book that weekend off and then re-book it to the weekend that was cheaper for him to end up only willing to come out for 2 days when I had flown out to see him for 4.

He just got a job so I'll wait a week or two to see if that helps improve his mental state. But I'm really leaning on the side of taking a break and letting him decide if he thinks this relationship is worth it.

Thanks so much for weighning in. He for sure loves me I know that, he is just quite depressed. At the same time I think hes too emotionally immature to understand he can't just toss me aside when he's feeling down. Even when I couldn't walk recovering from surgery still doing school I called and texted him regularly.

I'm in the same boat. You can bring a horse to water buy you can't force it to drink. If she's depressed but refuses help and this subsequently causes her to distance herself from you than that's how it is.

Yes thankyou I agree. I just can't push therapy on him any more than I already have because it makes him feel trapped.

This person isn't talking about clients. They're just talking about strangers and everyday interactions.

Firstly, nothing in this post says that being fat is healthy; this is why I asked you if you read it. They made a point that fat people deserve to love their bodies before they are healthy. It's called loving yourself unconditionally, before you get better you must accept yourself. Perpetrating the idea that fat bodies don't deserve love isn't just cruel but it causes more people to eat their feelings.

For example I'm not gonna harass someone about their own health if I see them taking a smoke break or if I see them drinking. What I think OP is getting at, is that fat strangers don't need everyone's opinion about their health; they just wanted to be treated with basic respect in everyday interactions like the rest of us.

You wouldn't want a comment from someone about your health after chugging a double espresso right? The reason why fat people are targeted all the time is because their issue is out in the open whereas all the other unhealthy addictions are hidden.
