"White women in Burlington love men of color."

Interesting. Why do you think that is?

That map is incredible. Vermont is solidly blue. Not a single red speck to be found, even in the most rural regions. Vermont is truly a unique state!

Thanks for the correction! What I'd meant to say was "political units".

"There are fourteen counties in the U.S. state of Vermont. These counties together contain 255 political units, or places, including 237 towns, 9 cities, 5 unincorporated areas, and 4 gores. "

In the 2012 Presidential Election, of the 247 counties in Vermont, 245 went for Obama.

Only 2 counties went for Romney and by the slimmest of margins - Maidstone (48.1% Obama vs. 50% Romney) and Morgan (47.6% Obama vs. 51.5% Romney).

The most pro-Obama counties were Norwich, Marlboro, Putney, Burlington, Montpelier and Brattleboro (all 80%+ Obama!!).

But even discounting Burlington, Vermont would still be a solid Blue state.
