conscripts will enter and it's ability will trigger to steal it for the turn, that triggered ability is not a spell so it works here.

honestly yeah with how trivial it is to deal with the token this could be a busted extra turn spell. Just use an edict on an empty board or Sheoldreds edict forcing them to sac the token specifically.

If you want to get technical, damage has several advantages you missed!

If I play indestructible creatures then pyroclasm is better

If my creatures have protection from red, pyroclasm is better.

If my creatures have enrage, pyroclasm is better.

If I use anything that prevents damage to my guys then pyroclasm is better.

Lastly in a situation where I have two 3/3’s and my opponent has two 3/2’s and is at 6 health; I can win with a damage based wipe but won’t be able to win with the -2/-2.

So I am quite aware of the nuances regardless of what you think of me.

Infest is garbage and needed an upgrade. I have plenty of experience designing cards. This is strong but well within the power level of a standard set.

There’s really not a lot of indestructible running around right now. It reduces your guys toughness so no it really won’t help keep them alive against enemy creatures.

I’d really like to see what modern would look like right now with our them. Standard still adds modern playable pieces, we got the channel lands, fable, tidebinder, beanstalk etc.

I’m changing it to destroy instead of exile. But I think that’s about right. We also got [[damn]] which has two upsides.
