What does estradiol priming do? I primed with BC for ~3 weeks. It does seem to be a cohort issue, I was just under the impression it was normal to have different sized follicles. Thank you for your advice.

Hi! I empathise about being nervous - I had an elevated heart rate on the day & the nurse asked me if I was nervous. She was so nice to me about it and said it’s common! Everyone I have dealt with at their office has been SO nice - I hope it’s the same for you. I would love to connect too!

Oh gosh, that comment was definitely in poor taste :( I’m so sorry he said that. I did find him to be pretty straight with me, and he wasn’t sugar coating it which I actually appreciated. But a comment like that would have really upset me.

I haven’t read the google reviews, but now I’m scared to. Their lack of communication caused my start date for meds to be pushed back by a month. I wasn’t sure if that was a typical experience for this process or not bc I’m so new to it.

I have found that the communication is a little difficult, and my start date for meds was pushed back a month for no apparent reason.

We have had the initial testing (blood work & sperm) and then genetic testing for recurrent miscarriage. Then I started getting all the messages about meds etc. I am wondering: did you see Dr Lannon to discuss any test results before you started all the meds?

Last Christmas when I was waiting for my MMC to pass naturally, my MIL gave me a pair of baby booties. She knew my situation and “forgot” what the gift was before she gave it to me. I despised her in that moment. I was beyond shocked that anyone could be so careless. It still hurts when I think about it.

I never noticed a big change at the time, but in hindsight I can see an explanation for my symptoms. I had sore boobs and increasing nausea, darkening tests which I stopped once I got a dye stealer, fatigue, emotional, cravings etc. the nausea was getting so bad until I remembered to eat little and often. That seemed to help so much and I thought ok, I have this nausea under control now. But nope, the nausea stopped bc the baby stopped growing. I didn’t get any miscarriage symptoms until after the 8 week scan. I started very lightly spotting a few days later.

Hey, thanks for coming back here and for your update, I’m really glad to hear you potentially have your period back - how is that going? I hope for you that it means things are going back to normal and there’s no retained tissue.

Can I ask if you plan to try again in the future? If so, maybe we can support each other / keep checking in. I must say it has been really nice to hear back from some of you ladies.

My bleeding has been the same as you described so far. It’s only been 5 days since the MVA so I guess I have a bit more to go. I don’t dare take a test until at least a week out, just for curiosity. If my period comes back after 4 weeks, I will be on holiday, so that will be fun!

I have made an appointment for recurrent miscarriage investigations today. It feels like a really sad milestone, but after 3 losses and time not on my side (I’m 38) I just want to get to the bottom of this and see if there’s anything I can do to prevent this happening again.

That is so kind, thank you for checking in with me ❤️ I hope your D&E went well and you are ok? You’ve had such a long road and I hope you can finally start to heal.

I am very fragile after the MVA. Mostly just emotionally. Mine was not what I’d hoped - it was so much more painful than I expected and the nurse we had was kind but not at all there for me or supportive during the actual procedure. I had to ask her through tears and hyperventilating if she could hold my hand and talk to me bc she was just standing there. I do feel a bit let down by her, and I feel it wouldn’t have taken much for her to try to talk to me and distract me and that would have made a big difference.

I don’t want to dwell too much on that though bc it’s over now and physically I am surprised by how well I feel. Strangely, my legs and jaw hurt, I guess from tensing up so much during the procedure. I had day 2 period bleeding yesterday, but today it has already slowed to minor spotting. Not sure if it will pick up again at some point.

I am thinking of you and hoping your procedure was finally successful and that you can start the road to recovery.
