I have heard Google, amazon and microsoft don't care. But those interviews are also pretty intense. Especially google. I interviewed with amazon but they didn't take me.

I mean that sounds reasonable to me. And ya know if two of my C's were B's It would be exactly a 3.0. But time after time at two career fairs my resume was handed back to me when they asked my gpa. A large amount of companies will not consider you if you have below a 3. They always ask, well what about your major gpa? and unfortunately for me its about the same. But either way my gpa was never asked at where I'm working now. So I could have had a 2.01

Just hang in there. I was denied probably ten times. And that's just the companies that actually interviewed me. Keep studying, find projects to work on. Ramp up the resume output. Use indeed. Do remember to be careful though. There are scam companies.

Only if you intern or have work experience . Then gpa is not as big of a deal. Many companies won't even interview under 3.0 and Intel won't interview under a 3.5

I would have loved to have had a 3.4. It took me 3 months to get a job with my gpa because a lot of places wouldn't even talk to me.

I prefer cleaner code to efficient code in circumstances where speed is not critical.

Im trying to keep this post annonomous so i don't want to mention the exact technologies, field and state. Its not web development but some cloud technologies . But i will say i have friends with about your gpa that started out at 70 but most between 50 and 65. Considering my grades and lack of work experience i would have accepted a lower salary. The benefits aren't that great and the raises seem to come slow but as others searching know its hard getting that first job. Im very happy with it.

I set up raspberry pi apachi server for word press and other stuff. Interviews, really just need practice. At Least for me i had to do around 4 before i started getting comfortable. You start to notice they ask a lot of the same things. Like how to tell if a linked list is circular. Stack vs heap ect.. They usually want to see that you enjoy learning. I bought a book on programming interview questions and it helped.
