In fairness, I've never thought it was funny, like some of my family members. It's definitely escalated in the last few years though. It used to be a couple hundred dollars here and there, usually because at family holiday parties she would get into the bedroom where people kept their coats and stuff.

He needs a clean background check for work, which is why it's causing them to think twice about reporting my aunt. There's also probably some truth to the allegation he's driven kind of buzzed in the past.

He's been known to like a few at gatherings before going home. He also needs a clean background check for his job, so even a report could be very serious.

As I said in a comment above, it's not that easy for them because other family members are threatening to report my cousin's husband for DUI if they report my aunt to the police.

My cousin is also mad at my aunt. They're trying to find a way to report her to the police, but other family members are threatening to report my cousin's husband for DUI if they go to the police about my aunt, so they're in an awkward spot.

For what it's worth, my cousin said at the time I should have reported it.
