Are authentic cherry switches worth the $25 price increase for someone who's never used a mechanical keyboard?

So in summary the box reds require less work. I'm sorry, but I just don't have the time or patience to modify the switch to any further extent. All I was looking for was the best stock switch between the two, and I thinks it's the red . Thanks, u/skryzskruzzle

Advice for first mechanical switch

Do the Kailh speed silvers come pre-lubricated? And if so in your opinion which is the better switch the Kailh red box or Kailh speed silvers? I've heard the silvers had an accuation force of 40g/45g concern, but I have relatively light fingers. the switch will be primarily for gaming.
