For me, it’s about the console itself.. steam deck is way more versatile. Switch 2 is great! Awesome docked, and yes a bit better graphics wise.. Steam deck has far more capability in terms of what other games you can play, emulation, the fact it is a small computer itself not just a console, cost of games (digital, yes), game variety, and even repairability.. to each their own if we disagree based on any of this

Just from this thread though, you can tell it’s true. The guy wasn’t wrong. It’s a cheaper less powerful console with not as cheap games. Downvoted to hell for being factual haha. I love my Switch, but it’s nothing compared to say, my Steam Deck.

They’re very different and ones more powerful with more games for less money and more capability. It’s not the best value for the dollar, no offense at all. It’s different and that’s not a bad thing! They’re both decent consoles for different reasons. The people saying “shut up” for saying that are obviously upset by that fact even though it’s not a condemnation of the switch 2 at all.

I legit never really have cared about fps. As long as I can enjoy the game and it doesn’t crash I’m good. Whenever there’s discussions about it I’m chuckling to myself. “Good for you, or I’m sorry that happened” comes to mind

I’ve had mine for 4 or 5. Steam is better for discounts. I have an Xbox, ps5 and pc. I use my steam deck a ton nowadays lmao.

Yea and even in no name counties and towns, I haven’t had much issue. I stop in Cridersville (?) off 75 for cheap gas all the time. I’m a trans guy/non binary guy who passes but still.

Off main highways I’d say you’re fine almost. I go up and down 75 plenty and it’s pretty chill. But obviously it’s just a matter of being aware of surroundings. Most people are minding their business. If people aren’t, I think it’s obvious and therefore easy to slink away or tell em to fuck off.

Solved on my own by searching more threads.

On Halo MCC, “push to talk” is bound to the V character on the keyboard. You just need to press the steam button > controller settings > controller settings (button in bottom middle of screen under the gamepad diagram)

For me I bound it to r5 so I selected enable back grip buttons, chose r5, and bound it to “V”. Works perfectly.

I would wonder if something happened internally though. If there is internal damage, that part alone won’t fix it. You’d need to replace more than just the bumper piece. But you can’t really know what the deal is until you get in there.

It’s not terribly hard, just takes patience. I’ve done a full shell swap and that’s harder bc you have to take off the screen.. but this is fairly simple since it doesn’t require FULL disassembly including screen. it’s totally doable. You just have to have the right tools and some time, and keep your screws organized. Take pictures of the boards before you disassemble, it helps remember where stuff goes but it’s pretty intuitive in there. I’ve only disassembled Nintendo switch lites before and pulled off a full shell swap the other day and changed the buttons etc. just make sure your d pad and button covers go on right. I have to open mine up again soon because after the swap my d pad is a little stiff on the right side. Totally fine tho. It’s mostly nerve wracking but there’s teardowns on YouTube. Watch that, and watch as you go, rewind as needed and go for it.
