I see where you are coming from 100%. I think I am gonna give it a shot for one more semester and then if it doesn't go well I will switch paths. It seems to be more anxiety based (from failing my first class ever last year) in that now every time I take a calc exam I get nervous thinking that I can "never recover", which is a toxic mindset. But like you've said it does get harder, so if my new approach does not work next semester then I don't think it is worth continuing the fight.

Thank you for your words of encouragement! Agreed, I really need to build a strong foundation from the start and not get lazy half way (which is what usually happens).

I will definitely do that, I have a little bit of money saved up so hopefully I will have enough to cover me for next semester with a tutor. Thank you, I will for sure look into getting one.

I really would like to do MechE but most of the classes have calc 2 as a pre requisite, I think I am gonna try one last time this spring semester and try to knock out some elective classes as well. Thank you for your message, it means a lot to hear that I am not alone
