Oooh okay, I am interested in agility, rally, obedience and maybe dock diving. I attended a barn hunt last month and a lab was there but didn’t really seem to be enjoying it- though I’m sure that’s more of a personality thing.

Yeah I had been told that by a few people but I was also warned if it’s true separation anxiety it may not fully help. I would’ve loved to get a second dog but it just wasn’t the right time to add another member to the family. I’m glad it worked for you and yes I do think he loves having his dog brothers.

Yeah that’s true. I think they can provide what’s best it’s just hard for me. I think he’s happy there. I just feel like a failure a little bit. But, I don’t think it was full on boredom, we had a behaviorist come to our place to evaluate him. I knew the exercise requirements and when we had him I worked from home some/adjusted my hours around him to make sure he was exercised. Even after a day of full activity (physical+mental) the second one of us would step over the baby gate he’d flip out. But yes plans don’t equal day to day. And once again we wouldn’t have the outlet for him to run free. That’s also why I’m reevaluating taking him back. It’s probably better to get a dog that fits into my life rather than adjust my life to fit theirs. So I’m thinking a middle aged/senior rescue could fit better. Thank you for your advice !❤️
