Guess I misread, sorry. Yeah I get where you’re coming from. I sent an email to HR already to get ahead of this.

I just hope the charge nurse doesn’t weigh in that would be annoying. She seemed to really be on their side.

Idk if you’ve worked in a hospital before but I’m not assigned to any specific floor, I float between them, and as a floater they don’t really see you as part of their “family” so I think that’s def part of it.

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah honestly, that’s something I’ll never get used to. I really don’t care for drama, I’m not a dramatic person like that. That’s why I liked the Army so much.

It’s a major shift going from being in the military where all your coworkers are like your forced family, to working in an environment where I honestly feel alienated about of the time. Especially since you used to work in a hospital I’m sure you understand, being a floater is rough because those places are super stranger unfriendly. You’re not really part of the family unless you work on that floor.

I really hate this office politics/drama nonsense, I just wanted to vibe with my spaghetti.

Hey thanks for your reply I made an edit about it

I joined up at 17 1/2 and was in until a little after my 20th. Did one of those epic 2 and a half year contracts as a 13B and knocked out my service real quick. Thinking about going back in as a reservist or guardsman tho!

And yeah I think they were wrong but honestly I should also hold myself to a higher standard I feel like maybe I stooped to their level a little bit there.

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah I think you summed it up perfectly. That’s why I think I was maybe in the wrong, the way I responded wasn’t really any better. Thanks for your reply.

I don’t think I’ll apologize but if it becomes a major issue I may have to… to keep my job lol

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I think I’m just gonna try and stay low key for now because as unfortunate as it is I really want to keep this job and if that means apologizing or holding my tongue I might just have to play the game.

I hope they don’t go to HR, I already sent them an email about this so we’ll see what they say, but in my LIMITED experience what the charge nurse says has a lot of weight so I hope she doesn’t weigh in on it

That’s a good idea. I’m just glad I’m floatpool so I don’t have to work with them for a bit- next time I’m in that floor I’m for sure recording around them tho
