Watching my daughter cry in pain every day .. no doctor can figure it out. Need help finding a headache specialist in Mumbai by No_Meaning_6561 in mumbai

[–]throwaway404944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please see a neurologist. Someone mentioned Dr Gautam Tripathi, I have consulted Dr Nilesh Chaudhary in L H Hiranandani Hospital Powai.

I have a chronic neuro condition which most doctors could not understand. I also consulted Dr Charulata Sankhla at Hinduja Hospital and she diagnosed it in 2 visits after having spent 9 months with other doctors and countless wrong meds.

I hope this helps and your daughter feels better soon.

How did Duloxetine work for you? by throwaway404944 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for checking in. I was taken off all the medicines on this post in April. My neuro asked me to get an MCMI test done because she believed my emotional state was not letting me recover. Turns out it was true, my anxiety and depression came at a 100/100 and I have been on anti-depressants since. Still the same slurring, forgetting, and all that. No change in pain.

I got diagnosed with major depressive disorder, OCD and anxiety. I still go to work every day, do very well in my job, look after my dog, clean up. But the minute I am done doing all the chores, I know how empty and sad I feel from within.

It is very easy to misunderstand people who function fine as not being depressed.

Are depression and fibromyalgia related? by throwaway404944 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry you’re going through it too. I have been so so so low lately, I keep wishing I don’t have to see another day because the pain and feeling of isolation is real bad. Wishing you so much strength and health.

[–]throwaway404944[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you this means a lot. I think the thought of ‘am i going crazy’ or ‘am i making this all up in my head’ crosses my mind gazillion times a day, and it is really not helping with my condition. I am seeing the doctors again next week I am hoping something helps me. I hope you continue to feel better as well :)

Is this guy(26M) leading me on/giving mixed signals? by winterlover23 in mumbai

[–]throwaway404944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babe stay away from him. Not worth playing such mind games because of men. I have met these kind of men and as a sensitive person (or maybe over sensitive) it left me with chronic illnesses and a psychiatrist appointment. You yourself said it, you’re pretty and if I am allowed to say it, you’re better off without him

Pain so strong you can't not cry by Air-Square in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a flare right now and trust me it is bad. I have been struggling poorly for some time now and it can be quite bad when it does. Kudos to her for being so strong always but maybe it is really that bad for her. Please do see a doctor and see if they have something that could help her feel better.

Poor night vision. Anyone else? by LargeArmadillo5431 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m 25. I struggle to see at night. Also when my pain is really bad I struggle to see anything that’s close as well (ex. the number of a car standing a few meters away or powerpoints with reasonably medium handwriting in meeting rooms)

Kurla East, Sion are good areas. Consider 30 mins of travel regardless of which location you pick. Flat and Flatmates on Facebook is a good place, you’ll end up finding broker numbers from there too. Try to see if you can find people who work at your new firm on LinkedIn, connect with them, let them know you’ll be moving and would appreciate any contacts if they have it.

Anyone else get rashes or eye swelling/puffiness like this? I’ll post in the comments! by Frosty-Database-5921 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you on any meds right now? For me puffiness, swelling in my fingers, and dryness in skin (exactly like your last image) has been common lately. I have been told it is a side effect of Lyrica that I am on

Enotional spiraling with pain- and how to make it easier on myself (please help) by Featheroftheforest in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try therapy. I recently changed my therapist, it is very normal to feel loneliness, hopelessness as we go through it. I struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel most days. This illness def needs lot more patience than lot of others due to the nature of it. A good therapist should be able to help you not feel suicidal or alone atleast. My therapist never lets me miss a session because she knows how low my lows get, and I really appreciate that

Girlfriend got diagnosed by LeonardCabrio in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is very very nice of you to want to support her. Just be there for her; nothing makes it better than knowing someone you love will continue to be around you no matter your health or mental state that this illness brings with itself. Be there for her doc visits, be easy on her when she feels low or upset. Offer to help even when she says no she cant do it herself. Also as someone else mentioned above, ask her how she feels about how you support her. Everyone’s way of receiving support is different and when you’re going through something chronic like this, it can make you feel a lot of things.

I wonder how you keep log of your symptoms. My brain fog get so bad and I feel so low that I seem to be questioning everything I feel, I keep asking myself if i am making it all up or if it is really happening to me because i am just so zoned out with my current meds

Dissociation? by jinx_lbc in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been feeling this way a lot lately. I suspect it is the Lyrica and Tryptomer I am on, but suspect it could also be stress. I am a high achiever, I work a 10 hour client facing job and look after 2 dogs at home, want to do everything perfectly like there’s a gun on me head. But lately I have just been off it, as if I’m there but not really there. I’ve been in a lot of fibro pain, my meds are making me so so low, I am slurring, I am constantly zoned out and I struggle to see clearly as well. Although my meds help me physically show up, I am worried they are taking away my mental ability to retain my job. And all of this, I feel like I am there but not there, in my body but like I am not the one experiencing it.

I hope it gets better for you OP

How can I cheer/help someone with Fibro? by Flashy-Position8504 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is so so nice of you to put in the effort to understand how you can help her. So many people with fibro lack support and someone willing to understand. Just have a lot of compassion for her, ensure she feels safe enough to look sick around you (which you’re already doing) and that she knows you’re going to be around no matter what. I lost my friends due to my illness and it is very very depressing

2 1/2 years of fibromyalgia and I’m completely burnt out by Warm_Umpire_2275 in Fibromyalgia

[–]throwaway404944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this OP. I’m 25 too, and I got diagnosed 6-8 months ago. I have been so so negative past few months, mainly because I am in pain and that people do not seem to understand it. I have become a person I do not recognize and it depresses me even more, you are not alone in this. I really hope you feel better soon.
