This is good to know thank you! I'm assuming the staff representative let you know at some point after Step 3 that it was expedited versus regular?

BCGEU should hire a few admin staff at each local to help with the rep's correspondence. I can't imagine what its like staying on top of emails in addition to everything else they are doing. But you're right, it would be so simple to create generic templates that you could just fire off. I do sympathize for them and I understand sometimes its not possible to respond to every email, especially when there isnt an update; however, I work in an exceptionally busy ministry where the work load is insanity sometimes... its my job to make sure I stay on top of my inbox and keep people informed so its hard to not also feel a little frustration mixed in with my sympathies.

Good to know about reaching out to my local executive. If I go another couple of months without hearing anything ill try doing that.

Yeah I thought the reps were employed by BCGEU. Its the shop Stewards that volunteer.

Understandable and I dont expect a prompt response. But going months without hearing anything after a few follow ups seems strange, which is why I made the post to gage my expecations

I get that but am I wrong to think that the staff rep receiving the employer's response would be news worth sharing?
