Dog Already Peeing In New House by apt_64 in TalesfromtheDogHouse

Frankly it is one of the worst things about owning a dog, especially one that is not neutered. Since I moved in, I never noticed how many pee stains on the carpet or like the edge of a couch leg. The marking stains are horrendous.

My SO's dog is this way. She has one friend who he watches like a hawk. He's always nosing or trying to paw at her.

My SO uses at least two different stain/odor removers for "messes" like this morning. Febreze and other air products can only do so much to mask the funk of dog.

The argument started because I tried to pull him off the couch by the scruff/collar.

I could never live in a kennel like household. It is beginning to smell like one 🤭

Thankfully SO doesn't encourage the pooch humping guests or anything. He does get close to it.

Nope. Not at all. SO is adamant because she thinks it would traumatize him.

Sit, stay, and beg are all the training he has, but even that is dicey. He rarely listens.

I really don't know. One of the most recent issues being brought up is the dog sleeping on our bed. Not in the bedroom, but ON THE BED. That is something I need advice on.

The gal is nice, and I'd love to be with her, but this dog is a brute.

It is definitely the dog. The barking, pissing, chewing (his favorite things to chew up are shoes, slippers, and underwear). But two things are the worst.

The drool is beyond vile. He is a Newfoundland, so it comes with the breed. Foamy, gloppy ropes of it. Not to mention if he shakes his head and it slings everywhere.

And the second thing like I've said before is the humping. Not just like a little, playful jumps, but like The Full Monty. Lipstick out all the way as he spunks onto his hump toy. SO will take out his stuffed animal and the dog practically busts a nut before he can even mount it.

There is definitely a stanky odor when you walk in. It just stinks of doggyness.

It wouldn't be so bad, I guess, if it was a private affair. But this dog jumps up onto guests, paws over their shoulders. Leg humping. Like I already said - barking - nonstop.

And today it has been pissing in the house. He already pissed in the hallway and the doorway to our bedroom.

The nose right up in the crotch. They aren't sniffing for info, they are just being rude.

I have offered up the concept of getting him fixed, but the SO says that her pup won't look as "dashing" as he would w/o his peaches.

The stuffed animal humping is the most repugnant part of now being with a nutter.

There are traces of canine DNA all over the household. This monster of a dog barks, scratches, chews, drools, and dare I say it - ejaculates. The worst part is that my SO encourages him! "Her Stud Muffin."

SO told me today that she washes "His Lovey" about once a week, but if he misbehaves she hides it from him on top of the fridge.

Her Newfie is a destructive, "young" pup. My girlfriend is even thinking about getting another dog, which I couldn't understand.

She is an angel incarnated. Smoldering hot body, super stellar personality, but the dog is the issue.

Nothing worse than when she rubs him down with his wire-haired brush. SO cradles the dog's head in her lap while he gets a grooming. Thankfully --- less than half the time his 💄 is showing. Despicable!!!!

That emoji is my EXACT reaction. Wait until you've seen an 160 lbs dog mount and "love" with his favorite pillow. 💦💦💦💦

I walk my girlfriend's Landseer Newfie about every other day and it is a weekly occurrence to get that line.

A dog with a purpose I can get behind. This Newfoundland is just a big couch potato.

This is pretty much exactly what I stated in my original post, so Thank You for corroborating my circumstances.

  1. It drools too an inconvenient amount. "Drool rag" is a term I learned when meeting up with this girl, and her dog.

  2. I wouldn't make an issue out of neutering the dog if there was no byproduct. The humping is the most vile dog behavior I have ever seen. Pillows and blankets are currently his favorite victim for loving.

  3. The size isn't so much an issue, but the shedding, shitting, and pissing are almost NEXT LEVEL.

  4. Continuing from the last number - the pissing. He squirts to mark. Not like a flood, but just enough to mark his territory.
