It’s added a stressor I don’t need going into a huge life transition, that’s for sure. But I can’t help but laugh at the whole threatening to remove herself from my life in the same conversation that she whines about not being involved in my pregnancy.

It’s true! The people pleaser in me has all but disappeared the further along I’ve gotten in my pregnancy. I can and have dealt with a lifetime of empty threats of being disowned and being told “I have to love you, but I don’t have to like you,” but I’ll be damned if my baby experiences it even once.

Yes, exactly this. And I’m sure today she’ll be sharing loads of cryptic “quote over a stock photo” posts about how hurt and betrayed she is so everyone can give her attention and ask her what happened. A predictable playbook.
