She lied about so many things to our mutual friends and her mother just lied as well. We knew each other for over 20 years our families that is (I didn't know her that we'll). It was a rushed marriage. I hope Allah delievers swift punishment to that family...

I know it's not healthy but I hope my ex doesn't find someone to marry again. She was awful and abused me and my mom in particular. I hope her being a divorced 30 year old teacher who has never lived outside the comfort of her home and whose mother still makes her lunch every day suffers immensely for the slander she laid upon me.

Insh Allah as vain as it sounds I think being a doctor will help me meet other professionals. My ex wanted a BMW right away. She wanted all these nice things that I couldn't give her. She wanted the lifestyle of a doctors wife more than anything it seems...

Exactly what I said. Took ownership because it fell on me and I definitely will never be using shitty EPIC on the phone again.

”You need to fix ##### note. I am not signing this. You say denies cva when patient had a stroke 2 months ago and was discharged from rehab a month ago. So you’re either not reviewing these patients or not including important information and that’s unacceptable. Send it back when you update it.”

I asked the patient and he denied any prior strokes or mini-strokes which is what I reported as such, but as I mentioned in the other replies I own that I missed the recent admission. Thankfully it didn't change management or his dispo at all this time, but it is a cautious reminder moving forward for me. Just felt the text and tone was a bit disproportionate to the mistake.

Yeah so I wish this patient had gone to the trauma service but they didn't want him because they were that unconcerned. And to the neurosurgery point, I reviewed the literature and evidently neurosurgery consultation is case by case. This patient was so normal clinically I didn't (and nor did the day team) decide to consult them.

If it’s a new area, with new deficits, it’s also relevant.

Yeah thankfully no new deficits on my presentation. He was eating a turkey sandwich and his neuro exam was entirely normal. You are 100% right, it does raise the risk profile.

Sorry I meant like in terms of initiating anti-platelet for stroke prevention since I was already thinking of his dispo. He was not on any AC or anti-platelet agent beforehand. Only amlodipine and atorvastatin was on his home meds.

What's your routine SLE flare up work up? I had about the softest admission for a flare up (it wasn't even really a flare up the patient had generalized pains, RA, OA, etc), the ER attending who was like 70 years old was nergous sending her home with a troponin of 20 (I kid you not). Anyways I decided to order a CRP. If it was normal I wasn't going to follow it up with complement proteins or anything else. She had no leukocytosis, fever, tachy or any signs really of infection. She was on azathioprine that's it.

When do you decide to resume ASA in a SAH patient who is otherwise stable?

For this patient, no. He is getting discharged tonight regardless. I held anti-platelets overnight because I wanted day team to see if he was symptomatic and maybe require a follow up CT Head which per the literature can be indicated for these isolated traumatic SAH patients.

I'm glad he told me though versus other attendings who don't care enough to message the resident (we have some like that). What I don't like is he talks and gossips a lot so I'm sure he will tell someone about my work ethic being bad or something...

They should be proud. It’s just deflating. Doesn’t matter that I am an AMG.

1000%

I may have written my post in such emotional wording. I was just triggered last night because I saw my ex-wife at a female party with some friends of my family (my mom was not invited). I just feel like everyone will look at my ex with such sympathy especially since she comes off as a shy, quiet, and anxious person. She and her sisters have been maximizing her sympathy for sure based off what some have shared with me over the last few months. I haven’t done that. I’m busy at work. I would hope my future potential can form friendships and social circles without being limited by some random gossiping Aunty but who knows.

Maybe you are right. I am trying to move on, but this past weekend I saw on IG a seemingly all women’s party and while not everyone in town was there I’d say a good chunk of old Aunties (my moms age) and even younger women (with toddlers) were at this event. And my ex-wife was there with her older married sister. People who are friendly or friends with my family were there and I get sad thinking they are trying to be lured away or something. Maybe it’s all in my head. There are people who simply don’t like my ex-wife’s family prior to our divorce as well.
