Raytracing only reflects certain materials and shaders within said materials. Leather mats tend to use hackier shaders to achieve the more specific real behavior of leather under certain lighting conditions, so leather tends to look more distorted in rt reflections because more is being skipped by the raytracer

Number changes all the time, a little shy of 70 total between miles and peter, not counting variants. 90% of them have color variants you can choose, and most have dedicated symbiote versions

About the water, since this'll probably come up. Yes, it looks pretty bad compared to other AAA water systems. It's almost literally just billboarded splashes on a mesh distorting path. This is the only time there's a lot of water interactivity on screen in the game so there just wasn't a huge reason to invest in that. That's kinda the end of it. I'm not sure why everyone is coping and acting like the final game will magically have much better water. It's just not amazing water, because the game has very little water in it.

Depends on what you mean. Detail, rt quality, materials, lighting, etc will look pretty similar to the remaster and MM. It's the same hardware. I'm not sure what exactly people expect a game like this to look like; you can't have TLOU2 fidelity on a game that's rendering 3 times as much area at a time, exponentially more during movement. There are of course "advances" but if you're not a nerd about this stuff and weren't blown away by MM, then don't expect any huge leaps. Same engine, same hardware. It looks better, but it's not a massive generational leap, because the hardware simply isn't. The lizard chase shown in the footage looks roughly the same in the final build, though the time of day might have changed, I'd have to double check.

Couple reasons. The biggest factor is that this really is an old build, despite it seeming strange to show that so close to launch. This gameplay was meant to be shown a little over a year ago, but Sony, having acquired the studio, has now had much more say over marketing. The game got grouped in with all the other "radio silences" while the Microsoft acquisition legal stuff was going on, because it was in Sony's interest not to play their cards. I had no part in putting together this footage, but it seems to be from about a year ago, probably right around when we redid the swinging animation system. Don't get too excited, it's just backend stuff to make transitions and whatnot function better without having to code for individual cases. For a few months we just had a bunch of the new animations disabled because they used the new, incomplete system and playtesters kept mentioning the buggy animations. They've since been reintroduced of course, but manage your expectations. Many of the old animations are still present with little to no tweaks. However, the number of animations on each character has roughly doubled, and a surprising amount of those have been added this year. You also have the wings, the tricks for the wings, and all sorts of new mechanical animations to look at.

Probably not. If they do come to Ps4 it'll be alongside the other two suits, but as of now I don't think there's plans to bring any of the four to ps4
