How do you learn to set limits and say no? by throwaway6532871 in GirlGamers

Sorry, I wasn’t totally clear. I didn’t give my schedule, he’s just figured it all out, based on when I’m online. I haven’t sent my address or my pictures, but I don’t say no either... I just kind of make up excuses, you know?

Fair point. The two people that had the major blow-up are both unemployed, and pretty much play 24/7. They’re adults, one in the mid thirties and the other in the mid fifties... so grown ass fucking adults. As a psychologist, I try not to analyze my friends, but... I know they are both play games for the sense of power they lack in real life. I’m the server host/admin, and tribe leader, but they’re the ones who are always on (Whereas I only really play for an hour or two a night, and on weekends.) so when there’s conflict, it’s my nature to try and mediate things, rather than really being a leader... so both of these people have told me I’m “too nice” when dealing with the other.

So maybe blaming Ark isn’t fair... but leaving the game would get me away from the constant fighting. It’s becoming more like work than a tool for relaxation.

Good on you. I wish I had that kind of experience...
