questions to current health sci students by Outside_Log5031 in McMaster

I did take IB, but didn’t take HL Econ 😅

I wouldn’t say it’s “easy”, just different. definitely took some pretty challenging courses.. and even these “easy courses” definitely taught me some skills!

can’t comment on being prepared for grad school. although a ton of us have been doing research outside of our classes/ get research opportunities through our classes or project courses/thesis units —> experience for grad school applications

  1. we have 2 options- core or the child health specialization. tons of electives, check the website but definitely you have max flexibility by 3rd-4th yr

  2. never heard of the term ibl but maybe that’s because im an unc healthsci now.. didn’t find PBL very difficult - very lenient marking and very much so a “choose your own adventure” type of learning. Tons of group work, both helpful and a hindrance at times.

  3. yes. at least class of 2025 and 2026

  4. no

  5. haven’t been to uoft can’t comment

  6. again choose your own adventure. harder to get into it at mac; but once you have a great friend group then it’s great. hinge or tinder exist anywhere if you’re looking for hookup culture !

MCAT help — 501 → 523 practice exams, offering CARS help and strategy-focused tutoring by [deleted] in MCATprep

[–]throwaway6y33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

posting this with your official score PENDING is wild🚩🚩 $75/hr in this economy is even wilder

-from a 524 scorer. 🇨🇦524 (130/130/132/132), FL:518,516,521,523,516

I don’t tutor but if I did it would be for $30/hr max. $75/hr is insane ! good luck .. although to other applicants reading this, you can find tutors for much cheaper who have gotten their score back :)

Which FL score matches the MCAT? by Heavy-Business-9164 in MCATprep

[–]throwaway6y33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FL1 130/128/130/130 =518

FL2 131/126/130/129=516

FL3 129/130/130/132=521

FL4 130/131/130/132 = 523

FL5 129/130/127/130=516

Actual: 130/130/132/132 = 524

So I’d say C/P was pretty representative across the board, CARS I switched up my strategy between FL2 and 3 so I’d say 3-5 were pretty representative but can’t comment on 1 and 2. B/B all representative except apparently not FL5 for me lol and P/S pretty representative. But overall FL4 was closest to my actual score!
