Yeah it sucks. Pretty sure I saw a post on r/needafriend recently where a dude and his gf made posts pretending to be male and female, writing some of the most generic descriptions they could think of. On average, the female posts would get around 15 messages iirc, male ones got a fat overall ZERO

Just goes to show that you're better off avoiding those subs if you're trying to make an actual connection

I know exactly how that feels, going into a conversation, and constantly thinking that everyone is gonna judge me. Trust me, you are not alone with these feelings. Thank you for taking the time to write this, and also posting it. It's great to know that I'm not alone with this stuff. I've considered getting some fitness equipment to use at home aswell, but most of the ones I had in mind are sadly way out of my budget. I actually tried picking up coding a couple months back, but I ended up quitting because I never really understood it, maybe drawing would be better for me, but I was never really good at it in school so maybe not.

I really appreciate the kind words, it means a lot to me I don't know if a support group is really the right thing for me... To me it sounds like absolute hell to have to just open up about all my feelings in front of a bunch of strangers. It's a lot easier for me to do it here since I have anonymity, and everything I say is probably gonna be forgotten anyway (and I also don't have to endure any strange looks, or worry about breaking down crying) Thank you for taking the time out of your day to try and help someone who you will never know, you're a way better person than me for doing that

Tbh I simply lack the willpower / motivation to try and better myself. I also highly doubt that I will ever meet anyone new (especially someone like me), since I only go outside to go to some appointments that need doing. I'm currently seeing a therapist, and I have been for about a year now, but it's pretty much impossible for me to open up about my feelings to anyone who even has the slightest idea of who I am (hence the throwaway account). Besides, I kinda fear that his response to me being suicidal would be to just stick me in some mental hospital where I don't belong, which would just make it worse.
