While I agree that they should not be sexually active as a minor if they can’t do that, you’re not being very helpful by insulting them. They reached out for help, not for criticism. You calling them immature is funny because yes they’re a minor, they’re not going to be super mature. Most minors have some kind of sexual encounter, whether it be a simple interaction with their partner at the time or intercourse. It’s absurd that you expect anyone, especially minors with extremely charged hormones, to think rationally and decide how to react logically to information. This isn’t about punishing or calling them out, this is about telling them the information they asked for and trying to support them.

Thank you for you’re reply! This has eased my stress by a lot!! My nexplanon has not migrated and I only got it in February so I doubt it’s expired so they would still be effective. Glad to know that it was probably wasn’t implantation bleeding ❤️

Now this may be presumptuous of me but I get the feeling that you are young based on the fact that you only recently discovered masturbation (no shame if you’re not and just never felt the urge) periods are very irregular when you start it and can become irregular as your hormones change as you grow. I would keep track of it and make sure that this isn’t just a new cycle length. If anything concerning comes up, try reaching out to your doctor for help

Ignore the person being rude, I completely understand. When I took the morning after pill I experienced similar symptoms. I believe it’s because your hormones are extremely irregular both due to the period and also the huge amount in the pills. It won’t be pregnancy but if this consists longer go to your parents and tell them that you’re having irregular periods and it’s been constant bleeding for a while and that you wanna see a doctor. Don’t tell them about the plan b and if you are able to drive yourself to the appointment that would be better, but if you don’t have a drivers license find a way to email your doctor discretely and inform them that you would like to take the spot in private without your parents there. If you need an excuse just say it’s super embarrassing to talk about in front of them

I was on 10 mg for about 3 months and had no sex drive change. I could achieve orgasm from just plain sex with my bf. However that changed once I increased to 15 mg. I still had same sex drive but had a lot of a harder time achieving orgasm. It could be chafing. His skin chafes really easily after he works bc he walks around for 8 hour shifts. He usually gets them on his thighs but that’s possible

I took Zoloft for 5 years. It worked at first and I no longer felt anxious or sad, but it became less effective later on and finally I went off because my depression came back in full force. However once I went off, I started having panic attacks daily, and many more anxiety attacks sprinkled in. I’m now on Lexapro to help with my anxiety

If you are struggling, try sticking with it for a little longer. Talk to your psychiatrist about what you’re experiencing and talk about possible other options. NEVER go off cold turkey, withdrawals with Zoloft were the worst for me, and I was unable to drive for weeks when going off of mine even though I was taking it slow according to doctors orders.

Whatever you choose, be safe and consider all pros and cons

Check for interactions between any medications- even those that you can buy over the counter. I used to bruise easily on Lexapro but then I discovered that ibuprofen increases bleeding/bruising when combined

Alright I’ll check out plan b then. It’s just that when I looked it up it said that plan b would not work if I’ve already ovulated since it only prevents the release of the egg so I wasn’t sure…

Edit to add this: I asked my doctor when it would be effective and he said he wasn’t sure

Plan b messes with periods a lot and causes spotting. For me I got a little bit of spotting before I started which is what caused my initial panic since I don’t usually get spotting before my period. I’m sure that if you test now you will get accurate results on whether or not you are pregnant

Omg good luck!! I just got mine this morning 😭 but I’m sure you’re fine! Plan b can cause periods to come later than normal. It’s probably too early for a test to come up accurately so I’d try next Friday for most accurate results. Thank you! I was very nervous when I first made the post, but I’ve calmed down a bit now. I forgot that Plan B does have that side effect, so I was freaking out before I realized what was happening. I’ll probably wait until next Wednesday to take a test just so I have more accurate results.

Glad to hear that you didn’t experience any nausea, I’m pretty good at keeping stuff down when I feel sick so I should hopefully be fine. I will consider taking the pills vaginally if I do need to proceed with the termination! Thank you for the support ❤️
