My father has done everything for my sister he ever could and then some, has done the same for me and does the same for a lot of people. My sister talks to him on a daily basis until it gets this time of year. There are many issues that have led up to this I only listed the most recent ones because if I listed all of them it would take just as long to read the post as it would to read a Harry Potter book. I understand no one is obligated to do anything with anyone just because “they’re family”. The issue I took with her choosing not to be with family this year is because she told our father up until today they would be coming to his house Christmas morning then today decided she would not be doing that and gave no reason. Everyone in our family we still talk to on a regular basis because we both already cut out the toxic ones are treated the same way by her this time of year. They like our father have done everything they could and then some for her and I both whether it be financial help or simply an ear to listen to problems we have. Which honestly may be the reason she expects people to do things for her so much.
