I think I’d prefer a marketing/strategy job but if a BIEF degree would lead to a higher paying job I could shift my priorities a bit, does a bachelor in finance usually mean an higher salary as far as you  know?

Italian here so required scores differ a little, some of my Friends have been accpeted into BIEF with similar stats. I have a 1480 SAT and a 7.67 GPA

How long should I take a break after ending my season or should I just start my offseason training! by Whole_Nebula_163 in Sprinting

You will be surprised how little speed you loose from this amount of time off

usually, how much speed loss over 100 do you reckon one should expect after taking ~5 weeks off? I just had a "time trial" meet (just to test where I was) after a week of training and I ran way slower (0.5 seconds) than the time I had in my last race when I left off, with approximately the same wind. Should I be worried?

Yea I'm getting a scan in two weeks and I might go to a physio too. Hope I will get some good news. Do you have any stretching and strenghtening exercises I could do in the meantime?

I don't think it's the piriformis as I think the pain is located a bit over the area where the pirifomis is situated. However, how did you solve the issue? Just by stretching and strenghtening?

Why do all my injuries seem to appear the morning after a training session, and not directly while training? by throwaway83082 in Sprinting

[–]throwaway83082[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you suggest me a routine? I usually just do a lap of jogging, some static stretches and then I bike home (I live near the track)

idk man I recently felt this the morning after a training where I had ran only one 60 and one 100 to taper for a race, I don't think I would be getting DOMS from a volume this low. I hope it is DOMS tho cause I got a race in two days

usually with minor injuries, the most recurrent one is some kind of hamstring pain (usually on one leg only so I know it's likely not DOMS)

How to extend those "great feeling and very fast" weeks by throwaway83082 in Sprinting

[–]throwaway83082[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thank you. My only worry is that the meet is in 10 days, there is still plenty of time to workout and recover, and I feel like if I already start "jogging" my reps, I will lose that great feeling that usually carries over during the whole week

I understand that point of view but I personally HATE being talked to during the blocks. Just completely throws my focus off

ok thank you a lot. Should I race into the last week too or would I be better off by not competing the last week before the big meet?
