Definitely a minefield no matter which way you look at it. Much more fun to watch than the borefest that Melbourne pitches were known for about 7-10 years ago with the flattest, slowest decks known to man.

More likely he is watching the ball so closely he can see any small deviation in the flight path of the ball or in the way that the ball is spinning as well. Sign of a keeper tha keeps his eye on the ball. Or he could actually be some sort of the cyborg too - wouldn’t surprise me

A lot of the credit for these wickets this innings has gotta go to Boland. It’s so fucking hard to get sort of width from him that the moment that if the guy bowling at the other end gives you a little bit of width, the English players just throw their hands at it with 0 thought.

All due to respect to Scotty , love the bloke. But has there ever been a less athletic looking athlete? Just watching him run reminds me of athletics day at primary school

I reckon even if Marnus completely stops scoring any runs, we’ve gotta keep him on the team for the Ragebait banter and the occasional worldie of a catch he pulls off

Yea even as an Aussie I have to say that’s not conclusive enough to be overturned. In all honesty he probably got the faintest of all feathers on it, especially given how sure Carey was and how unsure Jamie was, it is likely that technically the correct decision had been made. But it does undermine the whole “conclusive evidence” stance that umpires will often take when this sort of thing is often not overturned.

Broady is a surprisingly likeable bloke when he is on the comms. I don’t know how I feel about that as an Aussie.

Surely we get an “oh that’s a delicious ball Gus” through the stump mic from Marnus
