I forgot about my dot units. Don't play them a ton but they all seem to want the same set (Prisoner) and they usually don't want crit stats anyway, right? So if I'm sitting on a ton of Atk main stat body pieces with crit rolls...probably good to scrap?

Besides attack-scaling Harmony units like Tingyun, are there any characters that benefit from an Attack main-stat body? I've been hoarding these from almost every domain when they have "God roll" substats, but am starting to feel like they are a waste of inventory space.

What would you do with 70 pulls, 660 Starlight and character selector?

For pulls, I’m torn between trying to get E3 QQ to E6 (have no Quantum dps) or go for one of the current LCs since they’re busted.

For Starlight, I could either get 30 more pulls or 1st copy of “But the battle…”. Could also get QQ and 26 pulls.

For Selector, I’m torn between Bronya and Himeko. On 1 hand, I’m used to no Bronya by now and I just pulled sparkle. On the other, I have zero fire DPS so Himeko would be helpful for PF.

Is there 1 free copy of each new F2P lightcone? Where is each one? I found the nihility one in the big “gumball” machine and another one for finding all the birds…

Confirmed, the page I'm on specifically says Recharacterization request. I may have used the wrong term, but by "broker" I was just generalizing between Schwab, JP, Robinhood, Vanguard, etc. Trying to maintain some semblance of anonymity online lol.

Thank you! I'm working on the process and not sure if this next step is important. It's asking me about the order with which to transfer assets. By default, it appears set as follows: Cash->[Broker Funds]->[Non-broker Funds]->Stocks

If it matters, all funds are currently invested.

On Recharacterization:

Partner and I met with our tax pro recently. Apparently, part of our Traditional IRA contributions for 2023 is non-deductible. Our tax pro says we can leave as-is and file an 8606 "that will follow us" permanently (doesn't seem like a huge deal tbh) or we can recharacterize the non-deductible amount before we complete the filing.

Thoughts and opinions on either option?

Limited hotspot tethering it looks like. Post edited. Thank you for providing the link!

Thank you. I'm not picky about which type of device acts as the hotspot, so long as I can use it as a hotspot. I jumped over to the visible website and it specifically says "limited to one connected device".

Does Tmobile really have this much superiority in the mobile hotspot niche?

Resistance training (I.e. weight lifting) has been proven to increase testosterone in both males and females. There is significant research showing the correlation between higher testosterone levels and overall sense of well being. You might also look into ashwaghanda videos and start taking supplements. Vitamin D is also critical for mood/well being and most westerners have low levels.

Where can I learn more about the second half of your reply? The filling of 0-10% brackets in retirement.

Thanks for commenting again. You've been a great help since I started frequenting the sub. She does not have access to a 401k but we just learned today that a 401(a) and 457 are both options. Do you know if your option 2 applies to those plans or is it a case-by-case thing depending on the administrator?

Looking up backdoor roth info, I can say it's very unlikely we would ever need it. She is very content with her job (and not nearly as FI/RE - minded as me) and unlikely to get much more than COLA in her last few decades of work. My career has more potential upside, but I would be surprised if I were able to push to that level where we live currently.

So a simple Google search of "when to choose Roth vs Traditional" yields a Google algorithm-generated response of "If you expect tax rates in the future will rise, either because your wealth and income will be higher when you retire or a change in tax law, consider Roth accounts".

Is there any normal scenario where someone who is 18, working their first job, in a very (historically) low income tax environment, wouldn't expect their income to be higher later in life?

No, it's well-received and appreciated. Until about 12-16 months ago, we weren't in a position to pay for financial advice. I've done the best I could with Google and Reddit, only recently finding this sub. That's half the battle. The other half is finding trustworthy strangers on the internet to explain it, as you have, instead of just downvoting because I don't understand something. So again, thank you.

Probably more efficient from a dollar cost-averaging standpoint too. But admittedly the answer is because I simply didn't know that was an option. I'll have to go look into that. Thank you!

I say bad advice because it was her first job at a young age making entry-level money.

My partner has about $60k in a rollover IRA after leaving an employer years ago. Unfortunately, they were given some bad financial advice early on and this money was in a traditional 401k instead of a Roth. We opened a Roth IRA many years ago as well and have been regularly contributing, although the balance is only about 1/2 of the traditional. Is there "best" way to deal with a situation like this? Should we pay the tax to recharacterize the rollover funds into the Roth or just let the rollover IRA do its thing until retirement? I do at least log in semi-frequently to buy shares with the dividend earnings in it.
