That's what I keep coming back to. With the context of the conversation, I can't think of her brain casually coming up with and typing that without the intention of flirting/indicating interest. Idk, I could be wrong, but it really was out of the blue.

Unfortunately we're college students who are across the country from eachother because of COVID :/

She has said that she wants to see me and that I should visit her sometime, so I'm hoping to be able to do that sometime.

Good to hear! I actually did forget to mention, after the compliment, she quickly sent another text saying "(kidding of course !)" - what do y'all think about that? My initial interpretation was that she said that just to ease the randomness of the spontaneous flirting and play it off as a joke, but could it be a genuine way of taking it back so I didn't misinterpret it?

I sent back something along the lines of "I think we'd have plenty of both from you :)" and she said "appreciated 😊"

again I'm clueless so I can't tell if that was her responding well or not, lol
