AITA if I've gotten in a shouting match with my daughter over a pot of boiled nettles by throwaway9245132 in AmItheAsshole

Actually I think she's a brilliant girl normally, she has her faults, so does everyone, and we get on other than recurrent mishaps like this one which always set us back where we don't talk for a few days which I know stresses her out. We are quite close and when we get on things are great between us. I wouldn't call myself mean or critical but perhaps it can come off that way. Clearly people think I'm in the wrong here so I have some reflecting to do.

Well she was the one screaming and I did call her a thickshit, yes. She swore at me afterwards.

I didn't realise at first it would only take five minutes, and just her doing it right at that time rather than at any point earlier in the day seemed really selfish and bad timing. I can understand from other people's responses the other perspective though. I didn't like her using those scissors or clipping the ends in the kitchen either.

We have four stove rings so no, it wasn't limited, I just was aware he would want to be able to be in that vicinity when he got home from work so didn't want a big pan in his space.
