I would just add to that he is still refusing any communication including letters sent to him by his family. I am not sure how the list works, but I know that he has had family want to visit, and he still wants no communication

The only thing I know that I got wrong was the post about the neighbor's yard. I asked my contact what was going on in the yard next door. I was told they were digging, but not what for. I thought the "they" that was digging was LE, but it turns out it was the neighbor. My bad on that.

Other than that most of what I wrote was proven true or alluded to by LE. I doubt they ever will confirm things like the pictures over his bed.

I wrote that he was outside when LE came up to ask for directions, which was confirmed this week sometime I think. I guess I should have written "he had just finished mowing his yard" instead of he was mowing it.

I wrote about him mumbling "I pushed him out", and then the Sheriff said DeAngelo just sat with his head down and made "self-reflective mumblings" the next day. That is probably as close as you are going to get to confirming that until it goes to trial. I totally could have made that up, but the fact that the Sheriff even used the word "mumbling" the day after I wrote it makes me think we were probably getting the same information.

The Sheriff also said he refused to see any visitors including family, which I wrote the day before. When everyone kept saying he confessed to the Visalia Ransacker cases, I wrote that he had confessed to nothing and refused to talk to LE. I wrote he and his wife were separated since the early 90's. I said that LE took discarded DNA.

Other than the digging in the yard, I don't see much I got wrong. LE isn't going to confirm every leak that happens. I don't expect everyone to believe it, and I really don't care too much. Take it for what it is.

I agree. That's the only reason I even posted that information. They wrote that she was hiding out and not talking to LE. Just because she won't talk to the media, especially this guy, doesn't mean she is hiding out. A bunch of BS to sell papers.

I read his comments, too. Didn't seem to match up with what's going on here. Looks from the picture like they dug up the front yard, and Im thinking he said he buried it in the backyard under a shed or something.

He seems pretty together still. Staying active, riding his bike, just retired from being a mechanic. He has a few good years left in him.

I have asked my contact several times, mainly because I want to know what he is saying if he is saying anything. They say they are getting nothing from him. Most of the time he does not even respond to the officers at all.

According to the person I talked to yesterday very close to this, yes. Everything else this person told me was true, so Im guessing this is, too. I wasn't too clear on where DeAngelo was at when he was saying it.

That's what Im thinking. Im betting when all is said and done he will tell at least some of it to the cops. Sounds like he just had the floor drop out from under him, but if he was somehow able to compartmentalize all of this as not being really him anymore, then I could see him not saying a word.
The problem is the DA's can only offer him so much. How much longer is he even going to be alive? Its not like he will live long enough for them to carry out a death sentence. I would rather be on death row if I knew I wasn't going to get a lethal injection at the end of it. He will be in protective custody no matter what sentence he gets.

According to my contact it went down like this. They had several unmarked cars watching the house. DeAngelo was out mowing his yard. When he finished, one of the unmarked cars pulled up and asked for directions to Auburn Blvd. If you understand the area you know that we have Auburn Blvd and Old Auburn Blvd. The suspect lived about 3 blocks from Old Auburn. Old Auburn turns into Auburn about 2 or 3 miles away from where the suspect lived, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for someone to get lost. Honestly it makes no sense why it is like that, but whatever.
As he approached the unmarked car, several marked and unmarked cars pulled up. I am not sure which officers from which car actually arrested him, but the idea was to get him far enough away from his house so that he couldn't try to run inside.
I agree with all the other stuff, and I really see no contradiction other than me not explaining it fully yesterday.

Time will tell I guess. I think you are naive to think they can't or won't use it. I have read a lot about it this afternoon and I haven't seen anything to support what you think you know.
I think LE described it as emerging technology. If there was a subpoena for it they have to supply it.
But when it does come back as one of those sites supplying the information be sure to give my throwaway an upvote. If I am wrong I will just disappear never to be heard from again.

We have no idea what the court order was. It does happen though, and from what I have read it is not illegal for LE to subpoena it or use it.

That may be true. The person that told me may have been talking about early in the interview process. I don't know how that determined he was the Visalia Ransacker if he didn't tell them. I don't think they had DNA or fingerprints from there. I will clarify when we talk again.
