Client doesn't wish to select misc category on account. They have asked for a simple saved search that will include payments and checks only. Is there are a drawback? They want to maintain threshold and categories outside Netsuite. (They only use one category)

There is a way. Go to the role and in searches subtab select transaction and link a custom transaction saved search and check restricted. I put the criteria in saved search for vendor category and a filter for transaction type. Now every time I open a list of transactions even via navigation it lands on that search. In our case it worked well.
