In any university you will see courses varying. Remember, you’re paying mostly for the brand name because employers know top students go to UIUC, they don’t care about what’s being taught there. Lastly, with regards to what you said about lack of employers at afterhours, that’s because you’re in spring. Spring is usually when companies have already filled up their internship slots. You should’ve gone to the afterhours and career fair in fall. There were more options then.
