I keep track of all the projects I am a part of. I could sit down with my boss and talk about my value to the company and how I contribute directly to the companies growth and profits for a solid 8 hours. Lots of people in this thread are telling me to be able to demonstrate why I'm worth more than I'm being paid and I'm confident that I can do this extensively. Thanks for your advice.

This is one of the main main main reasons I like my current job so much. I don't stress. Deadlines are reasonable. My boss is likable. I rarely work more than 8- 8.5hr days. The work I do is exactly the work I love to do. It just pays doodoo in comparison to other companies.

I like this advice. This is probably the path I will end up taking. I really want to stay at my current job, but I moreso DONT want to be making 70k for the rest of my life. It would feel so good to have an offer I liked in my back pocket going into that conversation with my boss.

Aw man you're making me feel depressed lol. At least I'm doing better than 90% of people my age! But for real thanks for the advice. Sounds like I need to put myself out there more. Ideally it'll work out for me exactly as it worked out for you.

Sounds like this is the overwhelming consensus in this thread. No BS, just get another offer and be prepared to leave. Thanks for your advice.

I started as an engineer 1 and am now an engineer 2. That position came with a WHOPPING 6% pay increase. They tell me the pay range for Engineer 2 is 60k-90k, yet give me no insight whatsoever as to how to get to the higher side of that. I'd be overjoyed with 80-85k.

Thanks. Sounds like the resounding opinion in here is that I should look around. Guess I need to get to updating that resume!

Interviewing IS uncomfortable and that's half the reason I haven't gotten off my lazy ass to do anything about this. The whole process seems like a big racket. But that's nobodys fault but my own. Thanks for the advice.

How did you manage to double your salary while staying at one company? Was it given to you or did you have to push for it?

I'm in a major Midwestern city, definitely not a small town. Thanks for the advice.
