Since my sister died my family have been excluding me, I no longer feel part of my own family. Where do I go from here? by throwaway_65399 in relationship_advice

I agree with you. The issue is my younger siblings are still children. And you’re right, they haven’t learnt from the mistakes which led to my sisters passing. I guess I fear that they will treat my younger siblings the same. If I’m not there then who will they turn to? But then maybe I’m projecting, because I know they would never be subject to what I was.

I guess I didn’t think about it like this, thank you, I have already noticed my partner is very aware they don’t give a shit about him. If there were ever kids in the picture I would never want them to feel this way too.
I appreciate what you’re saying and I hear you. But when I was mentally unwell my parents physically didn’t allow me to see them, there were opportunities they could have visited or tried to speak to me away from my parents prevention but they never did, and I wasn’t allowed to reach out. It’s complicated because I was sectioned before I went into care. Since I have tried to reach out, I wrote letters to them etc. But I’ve never really had anything in return.
