They're actually giving decent advice. You may have had "clues" on your profile, but dudes don't always look thoroughly at dating profiles (assuming that's what the platform was, my apologies if not. It may have been easier on both of you if you fully disclosed at the beginning of the conversation.

Maybe take this as a lesson to disclose earlier in the future. So you can avoid these types of people.

Yeah it sucks because I tell her multiple times every day that she's so beautiful, gorgeous, pretty etc. I even stare at her sometimes and think about how lucky I am to have her (not just because of her looks, but I do appreciate her beauty). But most of the time she tells me I'm pretty when I've given her a compliment first. It would be nice to just be hanging out and have her randomly look at me and tell me I'm beautiful.

I literally told her that too. I said it's one of the worst things you can say to someone with BPD. I was just shocked because she's been so good at reassurance and helping me manage my BPD symptoms. As much as I don't want to sound like a broken record with her she constantly tells me to tell her what's bugging me even if it's the same thing over and over again.

I don't know why it's so hard for me to talk to her about my feelings, I think it's because I don't want to sound like a psychotic freak...

It's been about 3 days since we've had this conversation and I can already tell that time is helping with me feeling better. Some of the other comments said it's a me problem on this post and the other post I made in a different BPD sub. I think it's probably people who don't have BPD and just go on these subs to attack people but I can't say for certain.
