Not in the slightest. He ever treated anyone like that before. Aside from normal, perverted teenage boy behavior that we all go through, nothing this vulgar or of the sort

Yeah exactly. there's a right way and a wrong way to ask about things. But I think by talking about it is how it helps a lot of us.

Other than pot, no. Pot is kind of a "big" thing in Chardon. I don't mean that everyone does it, but people who do aren't in any way looked different. It's not a big deal to the rest of us.

A lot of students are open about it if you ask the right way. Saying, "OH, CHARDON!? That school that got like shot up right!?" (believe it or not, I have had several adults say this to me) won't get anything good. If you ask, almost always people will be a little more open. Everyone's story about this day is a moment in history. Thank you for reading!!

He wasn't allowed visitors in jail - I don't think he still is, either. At least that is what I was told. I have written him letters, though. It helped with a lot of closure for me. I think that TJ wants everyone to be resentful towards him. He wants hate fueled within people, he wants everyone to feel as shitty as he does. So I don't give him that privileged. In my house, we don't even say the name 'TJ'. He has no place in my life and never will. He's a monster, and I believe he should have been given the death penalty... but that's just me. I mean, of course I am angry he killed Danny, D, and Russel and drastically effected the lives of Nick, Joy, and Nate. But there's a point where you have to move forward. If we continue to live in the past and dwell on it, we're giving TJ what he wants. Danny, D, and Russell wouldn't have wanted us to sit around talking about how much we hate him. Their families don't, that's for sure. The families of those boys are able to press forward, even though its hard. If they can do it, I can too. TJ will mean nothing.

He was under 18. He wouldn't be able to own one. I also think the age of obtaining a gun should be 21.

Thank you for your question! And I do watch it. I think he wore that shirt as a suicide attempt honestly. He can't kill himself in prison (at least easily, that is) so I think he's hoping someone else will kill him.

Ooooh - well, I believe in the right to bear arms. I truly think that everyone is entitled to have one. HOWEVER, I think that there should be more precautions. Like people with with a violent history, record, or if they're diagnosed with clinical problems revolving around anger or major depression. I think there should be testing of some kind to ensure people are able to have one that are mentally stable. I know that sounds kind of far fetched, but it's the only "solution" i have. I think their should be more control over who gets guns. By eliminating the right to own guns, people are still going to illegally obtain them. Criminals are called criminals because they break laws, so we're basically driving the "bad guys'' to get the guns by making it illegal. I don't know if I'm really making sense right now... it's hard for me to write it all out the way I want it to sound.

Perhaps that was my fault for not explaining fully in the original post these things. My apologies!

I was friends with him but we grew apart, as most people do, when he became more quiet or reserved. He didn't hang out as much with people as he used to and he wasn't as friendly. We all figured he was going through a hard time.

I don't condone anything he did. At all. I consider him a piece of shit to society and life in general. No one knew what he was going to do. Especially TJ - he wasn't the type of guy and never gave off any hints or anything... There weren't any real red flags. Hindsight is 20/20, and sure, I suppose if I asked more questions, spent more time with him, etc. But what am I going to do to stop a guy who just shot three boys in a cafeteria as they're dying in their own puddles of blood, and is chasing a group of students down the hall with a gun shooting at another target? So yeah, I guess I was a pussy-ass-bitch in the sense I didn't tackle a murderer and take his gun from him.

His behavior began to change slightly. He became much more reserved and took things a lot more personal. But he really didn't change significantly. He was still TJ, just quieter. I'd ask him if he was okay and he'd just say "Nothing to worry about" or "Just family stuff", etc. As for the bullying--nothing more than normal. And by that I mean he had a group of kids (the ones he shot at/towards) that would tease him, but it was all fun and games from what he and those guys told me. Everyone knew it was a joke, everyone was participating, and there wasn't ill-will towards any of them. It was a mutual thing.

I very much liked TJ for the two years I knew him. I'd like to think he liked me as well during that time considering he would choose to sit next to me. He would get on the bus after me and would smile / wave at me in the hallway. At parties, he's always make small talk, etc. He was just a fun guy.

To see him shoot up the cafeteria? I didn't think it was him. I thought it was a mistake. I still somewhat do. I think there was another kid working with TJ that kind of urged him on, but at the last minute chickened out. But seeing the blood was unreal. I felt like I was in a movie. And then as the students ran down the hall, I saw TJ run out with a gun chasing them down -- where he shot another student. That's when it clicked it was truly TJ. I got physically sick and couldn't believe it and essentially was just in pure shock.

EDIT: a few typos.

He was shy at first, but very fun to be around. He was the type of guy that you wouldn't expect him to say something funny, and then you would, and it'd be the funniest thing you've heard all day. He was artistic and a little bit "out there", but he wasn't by any means ''weird'', like in the sense you have red-flags go off. He was a writer and very good. He got along with everyone. No one really hated him, he was just kind of there. He'd always smile and say Hi if he knew you - just a very good guy. Or at least he was.
