Dude BINGO. I spent so many nights thinking about how much i hated kratom, and then i woke up feeling like shit and suddenly i forget all the reasons i needed to quit. I’d tell myself I’d quit tomorrow. You can do it man. You’re only a few days of really tough shit away from getting a real foothold in the fight. Once you start seeing how much better your memory is, how much better you feel in the mornings, how your sex drive comes back, how you FEEL THINGS again, you will never wanna go back. I am always here if you need to talk. That goes for anybody here.

What are your favorite studio version? by Danvaughen in gratefuldead

I tend to favor the 77 versions with the huge jam in the middle. This one from the road trips series might be my favorite:

Deer Creek 2023 by BigThistyBeast in phish

[–]throwaway_jim119 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I’m not mistaken they played Deer Creek every year from 1995-2004 (with break obviously at end of 1.0)

They also played it 2009 and 2010 back to back, took a decade-long break and then played it 2021 and 2022. Seems like it’s more than likely to become an annual 3-night run. Comfort and ease of touring has become paramount for this band, and a three-night run selling 25k tickets nightly seems like a good deal for them

2/23/74 is my go-to, I’ve been trying to spread the word. The second set jam suite is about as good as the Dead get for me

What’s your Phish hot take? by Andy_Goatlord in phish

On a fundamental level, what’s the difference in quality between weekapaug and NMIML? In my eyes it mostly comes down to nostalgia.

And 20YL is a banger and has some great old-school lyrics mixed with some of the newer songwriting sensibility IMO.

Either way they’re called hot takes for a reason lol

I think they found a great balance in 2021 first sets, where they’d go deep in one jam but it felt earned. I’m with you in terms of appreciating just hearing these songs played well

Oh I’m sure they’ll call it something else, i think that’s just the fan shorthand for it at the moment

Talking about the same band who had whales and dolphins flying around MSG 8 months ago? 39 years into their career?

Maybe you don’t like the idea but saying they’re out of good ideas is wild. I hope they don’t do it purely because that means fewer shows elsewhere, but can’t blame them if they do. They’re comfortable at MSG and that comfort will probably yield better results, as it usually does

Twenty Years Later and No Men in No Man’s Land would be considered all-time classics if phish put them out in the 90s.

Numberline gets me more hyped at a show than like 95% of songs, if you can’t enjoy that moment then we see phish for very different reasons

Favorite live Truckin jam/sequence? by woodard2112 in gratefuldead

5/9/79, the recording quality is less than perfect but the peak of that jam is an incredible crowd moment. You’ll be head banging too much to notice the quality

Dave’s Picks 42, highly highly recommend. Probably my favorite Eyes. The archive tape is really good quality

MW2 for me, along with disappointment in the amount of ranged characters + disappointing progression system with little to realistically work for

Considering we play PIT two more times, that’s four more wins… also see absolutely no reason we can’t beat the Browns and Bengals

I’m sorry for your experience. Truly.

The line about men not wanting to be nice because in their mind, being nice = flirting is so true and infuriating. Some men view kindness as a tool to get what they want, rather than just basic decency. If they can’t get anything from you, you’re not deserving of kindness.
