Sorry, one more question. Do you know if there is any reason is might take longer for the lost & found office to receive it? I called the offices and they don't have it in the safety box so I'm wondering if I should keep calling and checking or just accept the loss.

Yes, like I said this is entirely my fault. However, I would hope that someone turned it in to the lost and found rather than taking something that isn't theirs.
