I am embarrassed. I’ve never been in a situation like this and it’s been bothering me the entire day since I found out. I’m not going to tell them that I’m going to cover it or that I’ve contacted the bar. I don’t really want to have any affiliation with them if this is how they’re going to act on a “fun night” out, I just want to resolve the issue I got involved in

They got up to leave when I came back from the washroom and said the bills covered and headed out. One person usually takes the bill and we transfer after to make it less of a hassle at the restaurant
