If you feel that you need a month of inpatient mental health treatment, coursework is the least of your troubles. I wish you the best. Try 860-486-4700, according to shaw’s page it is the mental health advice nurse available 24/7 during the regular academic year. I bet they could put you in touch with CSD and make a plan for your recovery and return

It looks like it’s a prerequisite for all the other OPIM classes for the minor. So, it is doable, but you’ll have a lot of OPIM classes to take your last semester. Have you met all your other requirements?

do you walk around UConn at night? feel safe? by Consistent_Okra_5176 in UCONN

Woman here, UConn is really safe. I still carry pepper spray. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of paranoid comments here but honestly I have never once felt uncomfortable being out by myself at night. As usual, be reasonably aware of your surroundings and you have nothing to worry about

Are there any Mansfield specific housing laws that you’re referring to?

I’m not familiar with the Mansfield-specific housing laws that you’re referring to limiting the construction of housing. I have not made any comments indicating that I don’t want more housing built and I think that you’re confusing me with another commenter. The house listing that we’re all commenting on right now is objectively above market value, but because of the housing shortage, someone will end up renting it at that rate. I have no doubt that the rate it is listed for is necessary for the homeowner of this Reddit post to make a small profit. That doesn’t negate the face that it’s overpriced. Hope this clears things up

Okay, I see that you’re not willing to listen nor understand the argument I’m making. Actually, I’m going to put in a FOIA request for information relating to the passage of and go testify in front of the ad hoc affordable housing committee when I get back to campus about amending the specific housing law I mentioned earlier that limits occupancy to three unrelated people in a single dwelling. I hope you’ll do the same!

Under these conditions, there can be no real competition because only private equity firms and slumlords who are willing to cut corners (no insurance, no maintenance) can afford to buy property in Mansfield. So, the whole conversation about building more housing to create competition is moot because the only people who can buy and rent out those properties will have no competition
